My career with the PVCPTeam<\/strong><\/p>\nI began my career in the hotel sector in Belgium and then in Andorra. I knew the Group by reputation, and its values appealed to me, particularly its CSR commitments to responsible tourism. I was recruited by Pierre & Vacances in 2021 to work at the Cala Blanes residence on the island of Menorca, as an assistant receptionist. I’d been aiming to become a hotel manager for several years, but I didn’t make my ambitions known straight away. I wanted to get to know the company and show what I was capable of. After my first summer season, I was offered the position of reception manager, then the position of site manager became available and in March 2022 I became manager. This rapid progression has always been accompanied by training that has given me the security and ability to take on this responsibility.<\/p>\n <\/p>\nDeveloping talent to improve the loyalty of our seasonal workers!<\/strong><\/p>\nWhen I started here as a receptionist, I saw how the hotel worked at every level. I’m aware that we form a very important operational chain: the work of each and every one of us makes this site a success. So I’m very careful to create a positive atmosphere and to motivate and respect my teams. It’s important to retain the loyalty of our seasonal workers: 90% of them will be returning this summer, which is a real source of pride! And it’s also important because our customers feel this cohesion.<\/p>\nHaving received a lot of support to take up my post here, I’m now doing my bit to explain and train. When I started here as a receptionist, I saw how the hotel worked at every level. I’m aware that we form a very important operational chain: the work of each and every one of us makes this site a success. So I’m very careful to create a positive atmosphere and to motivate and respect my teams. It’s important to retain the loyalty of our seasonal workers: 90% of them will be returning this summer, which is a real source of pride! And it’s also important because our customers feel this cohesion.<\/p>\n
Having received a lot of support to take up my post here, I’m now doing my bit to explain and train. I’d love it if, in a few years’ time, the person in front of me were to take my place – I’m not afraid of that!<\/p>\n
