Our action plan

"TO ACT FOR POSITIVE IMPACT TOURISM"

is based on three commitments that enhance the customer experience and encourage our guests to become actors in sustainable tourism.

These commitments break down into nine operational focuses supported by our brands:

1. CONTRIBUTING TO REGIONAL MOMENTUM

Proximity is one of the Group’s strengths. We support the virtuous development of the regions by promoting short food supply chains, proposing activities related to the region and studying how to maximise our local purchases.

Our focus:

  • To promote regional tourist attractions to our customers
  • To offer our customers a responsible catering service based on short food supply chains
  • To strengthen our ties with local stakeholders

Engaging our partners and suppliers

The Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs Group has been working with its catering partners for more than two years to gradually integrate animal welfare criteria into its purchasing processes, with a view to improving the living conditions of farm animals.

Today, the Group is committed, along with its catering partners, to ensuring that by 2026, 100% of chicken meat supplies on all European sites bearing one of the Group's brands come from farms and slaughterhouses that respect the criteria of the European Chicken Commitment. This policy is already in place for our sites in the Netherlands. In France, the Group will go further and ensure that at least 20% of its chicken meat volumes come from farms that meet these criteria and guarantee access to open air or a winter garden.

The Group already invites its partners to commit to animal welfare and will pay close attention to ensuring that this goal is met.

In addition, the Group and its partners are committed to abandoning eggs and egg products from caged hens by 2025, for all its sites, in all countries where the Group is established, and to use only eggs and egg products from free-range or free-range farms or alternatives to eggs. This policy is already in place for restaurants operated by our partners in Belgium, the Netherlands and France.

2. ACCELERATING OUR ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION

Our sites are situated in mountain, seaside or countryside locations. We aim to encourage soft mobility to access our sites, while continuing efforts to limit water and energy consumption, recycle waste and preserve biodiversity.

Our priorities :

  • Improving the sustainability of new and renovated buildings
  • Reducing the environmental impact of operations and emphasising its importance with our customers
  • Protecting biodiversity and raising our customers' awareness of nature

3. ENGAGING OUR EMPLOYEES

Our goal is embodied by our employees. We would like to become players in this positive impact tourism, collectively,  through our know-how, diversity, responsibility, responsible purchasing approach and solidarity actions.

Our focus:

  • Developing the human capital of all our employees in their diversity
  • Boosting the company's CSR performance with the best supplier solutions
  • Supporting family-related solidarity actions around our sites via our Foundation
